Day 1: Bergen
Start your Norwegian coastal journey in Bergen, a cultural hotspot. Check into your centrally located hotel and enjoy the day or evening at your leisure. One night in a centrally located four-star hotel.
Day 2: Bergen
After breakfast at your hotel, enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of Bergen. Visit well-known sites like Bryggen, Nordnes Peninsula, medieval Håkon’s Hall, the Renaissance-era Rosenkrantz Tower, and the 12th-century St Mary’s Church. Your tour will end at the pier, where your ship, MS Trollfjord awaits.
Day 3: Molde
‘The City of Roses’ offers panoramic views of 222 snowy mountain peaks and access to Romsdal and the iconic Atlantic Road, made famous by Hollywood movies.
Day 4: Rørvik
Part of the Vikna archipelago, a chain of some 6,000 islands, Rørvik has a long fishing history, which is well documented across its interesting museums.
Day 5: Lødingen
This village was featured in an earlier iteration of our historic classic route. Here you can join optional excursions to learn more about Sámi culture and customs or fish with a local.
Day 6: Alta
Famous for its iconic Northern Lights Cathedral, Alta frequently enjoys clear skies, making it the perfect place for viewing the aurora borealis should they appear.
Day 7: Honningsvåg
Welcome to the gateway to the North Cape. At 71°N, it is the famed northernmost point of the European continent, marked by a clifftop globe monument.
Day 8: Tromsø
Today, you’ll arrive at the Arctic Capital itself, sitting around 217 miles north of the Arctic Circle. You’ll bid farewell to MS Trollfjord, and a transfer will take you to your hotel in the center of Tromsø, where you’ll spend the final night of your journey.
Day 9: Tromsø
